Holiday Greetings!   Remember us?!?   Since my shop assistant has returned to his home in Taiwan , it has become painfully obvious to me that running and operating a shop by myself can prove to be almost full-time employment.   So we all miss David – Merridy, Carolyn, Kevin, Trude and especially me.   And we all wish him the happiest of holidays!   That said, I am happy to report that David has agreed to keep our Green Door blog up and running more consistently. I am very grateful.   In the past couple of months, sales suggest that The Green Door is slowly becoming a popular place for people to shop – the prices are right, the merchandise is in great shape and the place is full of stuff you won’t find anywhere else.   Also, we are always adding new items so it behooves you to make frequent trips to The Green Door to check out the New, the Thrifty and the Unique. Only 8 more shopping days until Christmas.   We have been getting our share of holiday shoppers looking for that

The Green Door is blogging again.   Hope you haven’t forgotten about us! But in case you have . . . .   This blog is coming to you via Taiwan as in – half-way-around-the-World-Taiwan. David started putting The Green Door’s Blog together when we first opened.   His Visa ran out and he had to return to his home in Taiwan .   But he promised me that if I sent him the copy, he would continue to put the Blog together for me.   So here goes . . .all the way from Taiwan. First off, thanks to all of you for your steady patronage.   It seems like it’s the word-of-mouth advertising that wins out in the end.   So keep telling all your friends and enemies (because it doesn’t matter which is which when you’re talking retail) about The Green Door. Did you know that we add new items and clothing to the shop every Thursday, Friday and Saturday?   Although you may see some familiar items the next time you stop by, there will always be something brand new sitting right next to

Well, it appears that good old summer is well underway.   With the 4 th of July right around the corner, it won’t be long before we will be harvesting our pumpkins. But I’m getting ahead of myself.   There’s still plenty of summer remaining which means there is still time to add to your summer wardrobe with a visit to The Green Door .   Right now through the 4 th of July we have a rack of T-Shirts and Hawaiian Shirts on sale. Selected T-Shirts only 1.07.   Selected Hawaiian Shirts only 5 bucks apiece.   Besides these sale items we still have lots of summer wear for both men and women at very reasonable prices. With many of you going on vacation you should plan to stop by The Green Door not only to pick up a new wardrobe, but also to pick up some reading material as you lounge by the pool.   Here are a few of the new Titles: “People One Ought To Know” by Christopher Isherwood (Caberet).   It’s a smallish book of poems about animals. “Ensucklopedia”
