Just this past month The Green Door has joined forces with the Anything But Ordinary gift shop to bring you another unique retail shop focusing on VINTAGE and RETRO items.  We’re calling it The Uptown Attic.

So far, our “soft opening” has been met with many favorable comments, especially on the shop's displays.  With the addition of The Uptown Attic to our little Old School Mini Mall there are a total of 6 retail shops on the second floor and 2 on the first floor of our building.  We are proud of our little gathering of unique and quirky retail establishments and hope you will stop by often!

We have a couple of crystal eggs and a new crystal pig in our Iowa section.
 
   
 
 
 
Hand-Thrown pottery and lamps
are added to our shop weekly. 
We have a lot of customers who are interested
in POTTERY
and with fall just around the corner,
it’s a good time to stock up on lamps.
 
 
 
And as always, new items of clothing for both the men and women are added weekly so you need to shop often to make sure you get first pick.

The Green Door is open for business and we need customers.   Lots and lots of customers. Do you know that you can drive to Mt. Vernon in the same time it takes you to drive across Cedar Rapids ? We have almost completely redone the shop and think we have a pretty nice looking space with some cool stuff -- besides top-of-the-line clothing at bottom-of-the-line prices. Now you can look at this two ways: ONE   If you’re going to throw away your clothing anyway, you should buy gently used clothing and save yourself a lot of money.
